This book has a Disney Cars feel to it and is written by NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt, Jr。 While I was surprised that there was no mention of God (as this is a Christian publishing company), it did have elements of the importance of being a team and encouraging teammates, as well as continuing to try even when you are scared or nervous。 A sweet message for young readers with beautiful illustrations。 My car-loving kiddo enjoyed this “tire”-iffic picture book。 I received this book in exchange for a This book has a Disney Cars feel to it and is written by NASCAR racer Dale Earnhardt, Jr。 While I was surprised that there was no mention of God (as this is a Christian publishing company), it did have elements of the importance of being a team and encouraging teammates, as well as continuing to try even when you are scared or nervous。 A sweet message for young readers with beautiful illustrations。 My car-loving kiddo enjoyed this “tire”-iffic picture book。 I received this book in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

The messages behind this action-packed story are universal and readers will see themselves inside。 Learning to overcome performance anxiety by helping others is an excellent life lesson。 Readers will learn so much about racing too, especially with the racing terms defined in kid-friendly definitions in the backmatter。 The story itself, however, is very wordy and tells more than it shows。 I received an e-copy through Netgalley for an honest review。

This is a great book for any child who is familiar with NASCAR or just likes cars。 It is slightly wordy, so I'd say it's probably not for the under 4 crowd。 The endpapers are filled with additional information; the front pages introducing the characters and the end pages containing a racing glossary。 You may find you learn a thing or two! He worries about messing up, making friends, and losing。 His coach encourages him by letting him know that everyone messes up, and that he is not alone, but part of a team。 On race day, Buster has an opportunity to help his teammate even though he is worried about his own performance。 Helping his teammate quells his own worries, and helps his team to victory。Fans of shows like Cars and Blaze will love this book。 It has an exciting story and gets its point across without being preachy。I received this book free from the publisher in excange for my honest opinion。 #sponsored 。。。more

This little story is fantastic! I found this book to be highly engaging, fun and encouraging with fantastic morals and lessons in overcoming fear and mistakes and coming together as a team。 Plus, I loved all the little details in the book like the names of the cars and racers, the camaraderie, racing dictionary and “meet the team” pages。 I believe both boys and girls will enjoy this book。 Note: While this story has a strong moral, it is not faith-based and does not contain any Biblical references even though it is published by a Christian children's publisher。* I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher。 All thoughts are my own and I was not required to write a positive review。 。。。more

Now, more than ever, we need to continue reading books to our littles that encourage them to keep going。 This wonderful story of racecars teaches kids perseverance whether they are starting something new, are struggling to learn a difficult skill, or need motivation to keep trying when life is tough。。This releases October 11th! I know that I get asked often at Thunder Road for books about race cars, so I'm thrilled to be able to share @dalejr with our little readers。 Now, more than ever, we need to continue reading books to our littles that encourage them to keep going。 This wonderful story of racecars teaches kids perseverance whether they are starting something new, are struggling to learn a difficult skill, or need motivation to keep trying when life is tough。。This releases October 11th! I received this book from the publisher to review。This is a fun book for kids to read。 A great story of acceptance and teamwork。 Buster finds that helping others calms his worries and nervousness。 The kids will pick it up because it looks fun but they will also learn a lot from it, both life wise and about racing。

This book was way too long。 It led to reading drifts。 The illustrations are fantastic。 So are the explanations in the beginning and the end of the book about different racing terms。 I do not know if this is the first Dale Earnhardt Junior kids book but if it is, before he puts out a second one, his coach needs to work on pacing of a story。

Buster’s Trip to Victory Lane is a beautifully illustrated book that talks about the difficulty and rewards of trying new things。 The author uses a race car named Buster to teach perseverance and the importance of trying even when things don't always go right the first time。 Buster also learns about friendship and comradery through his racing team。 I love the style of art chosen to illustrate the book。 The message is present and understandable throughout the story。 The author is none other than Buster’s Trip to Victory Lane is a beautifully illustrated book that talks about the difficulty and rewards of trying new things。 The author uses a race car named Buster to teach perseverance and the importance of trying even when things don't always go right the first time。 Buster also learns about friendship and comradery through his racing team。 I love the style of art chosen to illustrate the book。 The message is present and understandable throughout the story。 The author is none other than the world famous NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr。 Having previously read his autobiography leads me to understand that he knows the importance of diligence especially with trying new or risky things。 His use of a race car as the main character is perfect and a nice change from the many animal themed children’s books that are so common with teaching lessons。 Buster’s Trip to Victory Lane would be a great addition to any school or home library。 Any little race car fan would love the sweet message and fun illustrations。 I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson: Children’s! 。。。more
